Should Venues Become Cash-Free?

Image
A vast majority of people in today's society have moved on from using cash as there preffered way to pay. As an alternative people are turning to their credit/debit cards or new technology like contactless cards, apple pay/ google pay, or visa checkout/masterpass which makes paying more secure and faster. Since these ways to pay have become more popular than using old fashioned cash, many sports and concert venues have gone cashless only allowing cards or mobile payment devices to be used as ways to pay. While there are obvious reasons why this should be done there is an argument against it as not everyone hasn't completely ditched cash like people who don't own a credit card or don't even have a bank account. Should all major sporting/concert venues become cash-free? You'll find more on this debate in the video above.

This is a rough draft of the final project. I added text at the end which lacks any movement or general animation which will be fixed for the final. Also for the finished product there will be more pictures and way more animation to make it not as boring as it looks now with just pictures and b-roll which is all of the visual elements of this draft. To get the audio story onto my timeline I saved my audio story to my computer and imported it to my bin. https://youtu.be/4NM_vpYhb_M

For this mashup, I used the movie trailer Moneyball  and mashed severall clips together to create a new trailer. I downloaded the original trailer using a Youtube video download application which I downloaded to my computer. Once in Premiere, I cut clips that I wanted and moved them into the desired spot for a new trailer. This video is fair use because I only used short clips from the trailer. Even though I kept the audio I gave the original trailer credit at the end. https://youtu.be/2SOLr_zUtGo

COM 1112 Audio Story

If you have been to a sporting venue or concert event recently, you may have seen that there are some stands that do not accept cash. With the increase in use of credit/debit cards, apple pay, and venmo, patrons are able to conveniently pay right from their phones or with their cards while carrying less cash. Over the recent year, I have slowly seen venues going to this method but I do not think many people know about this, especially because I see it in major venues in New York, a very populated place. Going in, I know very little about the topic but I do know of the conveniences it brings to pay with cards and phones. So will venues around America move away from cash or is cash still too much of a popular way for people to pay?

1. Audio with background noise For this audio, I recorded myself standing next to a door and then I knocked on the door during the recording. 2. Audio without background noise To create this, I used the lasso tool and made a circle around the area of the unwanted noise. Then I right clicked and selected Learn Sound Model 3. Background Music 4. Audio without effects 5. Audio with effects For this I clicked on the effects tab and selected a couple of effects. Then I dragged them into my effects rack and then clicked apply. 6. Foley audio For this I downloaded a Foley effect(in this case it was a creaking door). Then I put it on a multitrack with the audio I recorded.

People On the Street Cashless Pay

Over the recent years, cash has somewhat escaped from peoples wallet in exchange for credit/debit cards, apple/google pay, and venmo. These digital methods of payment have been popular amongst the majority of the population. As a big time sporting event goer, I have recently seen that stadiums and arena now have stands and shops where you are no longer allowed to pay with cash. Instead you must use a card or your phone. It seems as if major sporting venues are trying to eliminate cash from their stands and shops.
