If you have been to a sporting venue or concert event recently, you may have seen that there are some stands that do not accept cash. With the increase in use of credit/debit cards, apple pay, and venmo, patrons are able to conveniently pay right from their phones or with their cards while carrying less cash. Over the recent year, I have slowly seen venues going to this method but I do not think many people know about this, especially because I see it in major venues in New York, a very populated place. Going in, I know very little about the topic but I do know of the conveniences it brings to pay with cards and phones. So will venues around America move away from cash or is cash still too much of a popular way for people to pay?
